It's easy for you to switch your phone service to us from another provider. In fact, you can switch to us in a few easy steps. You’ll find all the information you need to transfer your telephone service below, including the installation process, and what to do if you’re moving home.

How do I change provider?

  1. Use our postcode checker. Simply enter your postcode and landline number to see what’s available in your area.
  2. Compare our phone packages and decide which is right for you.
  3. Sign up. We’ll take care of everything else. You don’t even need to contact your current phone provider.
  4. Once you’ve signed up, we’ll send you an email confirming your start date, a copy of your contract and the terms and conditions.
  5. If you already have a BT phone line at your home, it will take around three weeks to switch from your current phone provider. 

Can I transfer my phone number?

You can usually keep your existing telephone number and call features when you switch to us. The below call features come as standard with all of our phone packages:

  • 1471 – See who's called

Dial 1471 to find out the number of the last person who called you.

  • Permanent number hold

Set your phone to withhold your number whenever you make a call. You'll have the option to override this for individual calls.

  • Temporary number hold

This allows you to withhold your number for one call only.

What if I'm moving house?

If you're moving home, let us know 14 days in advance to make sure we can set everything up without interruption to your service. You'll need your moving date, new address and an alternative contact number (such as a mobile) when you contact us.

If you're moving to a new home and would like to switch to us, you can sign up using the steps above. There will need to be a BT line at your new property.

We'll need three weeks to set up your phone service. Don't forget to cancel with your old provider when you move.
