Visits to our sites can help young people understand energy, how it's produced and distributed, and how to use it wisely.

We offer a variety of activities and resources that are suitable from Key Stage 2 through to university level.

Please get in touch to see how we can help. All visits must be arranged in advance.

Fiddler's Ferry

SSE Educational Resource Centre, Widnes Road, Cuerdley, Warrington, Cheshire WA5 2UT

See how Fiddler's Ferry Power Station, and other SSE sites, produce electricity in a reliable and sustainable way. For Key Stage 2 and 3, we have a variety of activities and resources which are ideal for topics such as energy, electricity and sustainability.

For Key Stage 4 and further education, we can deliver specific educational objectives in our conference room. We cover issues such as safety, environment, sustainability, energy from coal and biomass, flue gas desulphurisation and much more.

Also, our nature reserve offers a wealth of wildlife, ideal for studying habitats, food chains/webs and ecological sampling from primary school level to university.

The free Resource Centre is open Monday to Friday 10am - 12pm and 1:30pm - 3:30pm.
